Patsy a surpris tout le monde en donnant naissance à un chiot unique à Tontouta alors que son échographie à 4 et 5 semaines de gestation n'a révélé aucun foetus ! Ce n'est qu'une semaine avant la mise bas que sa propriétaire s'est étonnée de voir Patsy prendre du ventre et que ses mamelles gonflent : une troisième échographie nous montra enfin qu'elle portait bien un chiot ! Du coup elle accoucha en retard et le chiot était énorme (645g !). C'était une fille, un parfait mélange de ses parents, la voici : / Patsy surprised everyone by giving birth to an only pup at Tontouta whereas her ultrasound check at 4 and 5 weeks of pregnancy showed no foetus at all ! It's only one week prior to whelping that her owner wondered why Patsy had a swollen belly and her teats were filling in : a third ultrasound check showed us at last that she was well carrying a pup ! Then she gave birth late and the pup was enormous (645 g !). It was a girl, a perfect blend of both her parents, here she is :

Fille unique lors de la première portée de Patsy et Buck (qui vivent à Tontouta), elle était énorme à la naissance et a développé "le syndrome du chiot nageur" à 2 semaines (aplatissement du thorax à cause du surpoids et du sol dur et glissant, provoquant l'écartement latéral des pattes avant rendant le chiot incapable de se tenir debout) heureusement j'ai pu rectifier cette déformation à force de massages et bandages, et à partir de 4 semaines elle a continué sa croissance normalement sans garder aucune séquelle. / Being the only pup born from Pasty and Buck's first litter (they live at Tontouta), she was so big at birth that she developped "the swimming puppy syndrome" at 2 week-old (flattening of the chest due to overweight and sliping hard floor causing the forelegs to splay laterally making the pup unable to stand up) thankfully I've been able to correct this problem with massages and bandages, and from 4 week-old on she kept growing normally without any problem left.
